Nothing to worry about....I promise!
My parrot (Gorby) who is 4 years old had it out as well and I asked a professional about it too. It is nothing to worry about, he/she is not sick. If I can remember it is a breeding behavior. It will go away soon, it goes back to a small button. If it's rounded at the end more than likely it's a female-from what I was also told. My baby has his prickly and so that's what makes him a "He".
