My parrots are laying on the bottom of the tank. One is even laying on its side. My husband read that sometimes if they are constipated they will do this. They have always been very active and now they only come up to get feed or when I talk to them. Are they dying? My husband put a new fish in the tank, a fish that eats the slime off the tank. Could this fish have brought a disease into the tank? We have had these four parrot's for over four years. Really don't want them to die.

No. They just hang out on the bottom.
We had two sharks also in the tank and they both died last night. It has been only since we got the Pleco fish. There is another fish in the tank but it seems to be okay. My husband read that sometimes when they are constipated they will do this. Does this sound reasonable. I think the new fish must have brought in some kind of disease but my husband changed out half the tank and tested the water and it tested fine. Do you think we should get rid of the new fish? I hate to see these guys die.
Water change
Do a large water change. By large, I change out 50-60% every single week. Something is wrong here and it could be the water has toxic levels. Could be from cleaning filters or someone perhaps forgot to add dechlorinator and your cycle has gone bad.
It's hard to tell without seeing them.
If they do get up when you feed them or talk to them, they might be all right. It could be they got scared by something.
Is their behavior changing at all over time since this started?
