high ph,cant keep down

i have 2 parrots and 9 tetras in a 55 gallon. all is well,no ammonia or anything but i cant keep the ph down to the normal level. and i dont want to use chemicals that dont work 4 long anyway. is there anything else i can do? and r bps ok with a higher ph? they seem fine,but...

well its nothing higher than the 8.2 so i guess i should be ok. thank u 4 ur comments. its nice to know they can still b comfy in that ph! :)

dont worry too much about the PH, parrots can tolerate a wide range of PH, you can seriously upset your tank trying ways to reduce it, a natural way is to add a piece of bog wood(or driftwood) this can colour the water but it is harmless, or you can boil it first to reduce that, but as long as it isn't too high ,its not a problem

How high is it? Mine has always been 8.2 and I've never had a disease or any other problem in my BP tank.

Whatever it is coming out of your faucet is where you want the tank water to be, provided it's not something really crazy high. If not, every time you do a water change, your fish are at risk of going into ph shock. PH shock is very serious and can kill your fish.
