Re New food ideas
I am not sure about Angel Fish, but I have four BP's (5 - 8 inches) who are very healthy...I feed flaked food and medium sized cichlid pellets every day - but a few times a week I also feed them one or two of the following: thawed frozen peas with the outside "shell" removed; romaine lettuce clipped into a veggie clip - they gobble it right up. Occasionally I give them small bits of orange (peeled and with the membrane removed), finely diced, seeded cucumbers and diced spinich. But what they love the most is "fake" crabmeat!! I think its actually pollack. I keep a package in my freezer, break off a piece once a week or so, thaw it in some water then I chop it into small pieces. They eat it out of my hand. I have two tanks and I feed my community tank this way too, only no spinich and on a much smaller scale because they are smaller fish (mollies, tiger barbs, neons, cories). Hope this helps.

I used to feed mine crabsticks (sort of fake crabmeat) and they loved it until it was pointed out to me here how much artificial additives there was in it, so be careful

I personally don't feed to much flake food to my parrots because they tend to gulp air in too, buy a good quality cichlid pellet food, also, frozen peas which have been thawed and shelled and nipped into bite sized pieces are really, really, good for them, it helps with the digestion and can help with constipation and some bladder problems, just a couple ,once or twice a week, also include frozen or live bloodworm,(again, not too much) maybe once a week
