Red Parrot with Humpy head flower-horn fish?

Hi,
Just curious to know if I can keep humpy head flower horn fish with Red Parrot? My parrot is (2 of them) are of size ~ 5 inches and flower horn fish is about 2 inches in size. If not now then can I keep them together when they both are of same size?

Thanks,
KN

depends on the sex of the fish. flowerhorns can breed with parrots. fh male bp female. two males will be ok until the fh reaches 4 to 5 inches. once the fh realizes that he has the upper hand, it will be over for a male parrot. what size tank are you thinking of putting them in?

Nearly 90 gallons - Tank Size (Length: 48 Inches X Width: 18 Inches X Height: 24 Inches)

make sure that your parrot is female. keep the divider handy. i am breeding these two fish right now. it is possible at least until the fh get 4 to 5 inches. that is when they start geting mean. if the have paired up by then, you may be ok. if not, be ready to remove the parrot.

I would suggest do not go for the combination.

Flowerhorns get very aggressive as they mature... The parrot might not be able to protect itself...

is it possible to keep them in the same tank if u place a divider n the middle!! if so wht size tank would be appropriate?
