Yes,I also read that the fluorescent dye ( or whatever)was injected into something else to make the organs more visible and the side effect was to make the whole fish glow, the scientist has patented this and is making a fortune,I don't think Im in favour of this, what next,glow in the dark cats and dogs?

Did you know that glofish are illegal in some countries including the UK, japan, Singapore and the state of California, its to do with them being genetically modified,the green ones got their colour from jellyfish and the pink from corals, they are indeed zebra fish, with the same care requirements, so maybe the advise not to mix them with parrots is more of an ethical question

i can't see why they can't get along with parrots? aren't they almost just like zebra danios?i had zebra danios with annie before and they got along great...

I googled it and it came back with the advise that they are not compatible with parrots(don't know why)
