I wonder if it could be a Red Devil and they possibly had it labeled wrong. The Red Devil looks a whole lot like the BPs but they don't have the mouth deformities. google red devil fish and click on the images and make a comparison.

annie and the new guy sparky
after a few hours i added sparky the "normal" parrot fish annie and him are digging holes and i think they really like eachother. Sugar on the other hand does not like them

My Petsmart is VERY disgusting with their fish. Most people working here are high school kids with a part time job that know absolutely nothing about aquariums and fish!

at both petsmarts in my area, they keep baby parrots and severums in the same tank. i was buying a bunch of fish one day and they gave me a parrot instead of a severum. you might have brought home a green severum

pinkish orange
the new guy which i deicded to call sparky is a pinky orange colour. so far he swims back and forth across the tank. Annie seems to be very intrested in him but sugar doesn't really like him

What colour is it and is it an adult? There is another fish called a parrot cichlid which is a greenish colour, you need to look it up and study a picture of it, Im afraid I don't know much about them, but blood parrots definitely don't close their mouths and definitely have a hump
