cone snails

Has anyone had experience using "Had-a-snail" in your BP tank? I have aquired quite an abundance of cone snails. I'm picking a palm full out once for sure, sometimes twice (it's a timing thing) a day.
I've had my tank several years and this is a first; I'm suspecting the little varmits came in with the frozen krill.
I won't risk my BPs by using an "iffy" treatment and although I can keep on hunting and picking the snails, I thought perhaps someone has been here done that, successfully.

snails

my parrots ate 3 snails and pushed the shells around with their heads...like a soccor ball..they enjoyed it...I'll just use an algea sponge to wipe off algea. BP's are best kept with their own type only or with convicts or other simular sized cichlids, depending on the size of your tank.

cone snails

I have an old book that says that cone snails( conidae) produce a venom which they inject into their prey and that a small fish dies immediately and that the aquarists fingers are also at risk, will look for more info and post OK Im back, r u sure that they r cone snails, if so they are hard to get rid of,they produce thousands of eggs and all by themselves!one person bleached their filter and gravel(sounds a bit drastic) but another has recommended putting long slices of cucumber in overnight and lifting out complete with snails, another transferred his fish to another tank then cleaned and treated his main tank with a purpose bought chemical then added clown loaches to finish off any odd ones still in his main tank, hope this helps
